Faith in the Fire: When the Story Isn't Over and God Isn't Done
Life doesn’t always look the way we imagined. Seasons of grief, exhaustion, financial stress, or uncertainty can leave us wondering if God has forgotten us. But the truth is—He hasn’t. He’s right here, even in the fire.
That’s the heart of Faith in the Fire: When the Story Isn’t Over and God Isn’t Done.
This 30-day devotional is for women walking through hard seasons who need to know that God’s presence is steady and His promises still hold true. With Scripture, reflection, personal stories, and prayer, it’s designed to give you both comfort and courage for the exact place you’re in today.
What You'll Find Inside
Each daily entry includes;
- A Scripture passage rooted in God's Word
- A short devotional thought connecting faith to real life
- Reflection questions to process your own story
- A prayer to draw near to God in the middle of the mess
- A reminder that even here, even now—God is faithful
The Three-Part Journey
The devotional is structured around a simple, powerful rhythm:
- Remember — recalling God’s past faithfulness in your life and in Scripture
- Rest — learning to lean on His promises right in the middle of the fire
- Rejoice — choosing joy in the truth that God is still at work, even when the story isn’t finished
Does that sound like what your heart needs?
A Word from Sarah
And here’s the thing: this isn’t just theory for me. I’m not writing these devotionals because I have life all figured out or because I’ve somehow avoided the hard seasons. I’m here because I’ve walked through the fire—again and again—and I’ve learned firsthand that God is faithful in the middle of it.
For me, that fire has looked like:
- Walking with my husband through cancer—twice.
- Years of infertility, the heartbreak of miscarriage, and the long, exhausting process of adoption.
- The joy and surprise of an unexpected pregnancy after fifteen years.
- Parenting children with complex needs and navigating the weight of mental health struggles.
- Seasons of financial strain, chronic illness, and caring for family at great personal sacrifice.
- The exhausting battle of fighting for my daughter’s care through insurance appeals and legal proceedings.
- Even the heartbreak of family betrayal—the kind of pain that leaves scars you can’t always see.
And yet, time after time, God has shown up—with provision, with healing, with encouragement, and with His steady presence when I had nothing left to give.
That’s why I wrote Faith in the Fire: When the Story Isn’t Over and God Isn’t Done. My prayer is that as you turn these pages, you’ll see evidence of His faithfulness in your own story—and be reminded that He’s not finished with you either.
Ready to Begin?
If you’re longing for the encouragement and practical hope in the middle of your hard season, Faith in the Fire is for you.

Hey, I’m Sarah Brumley. I’m a wife, mama to three, and a hobby blogger turned CEO.
For years, I chased the idea that I had to use every free hour of my day in order to build a successful business.
I wasted money on productivity apps and a tech stack that the gurus promised would make my life easier and my business run on autopilot. Spoiler alert: It didn’t!
After a full-blown burnout, I finally realized that if I was going to succeed in my business without depleting my energy or neglecting my family - I needed to do the things I knew would move the needle: content marketing, creating clear boundaries, and setting up systems that WORKED FOR ME, not the opposite way around.
That’s exactly what I did and now I can’t wait to share that strategy with you!
So, if you’re ready to create a bigger impact at home and in business, without the guesswork, you're in the right place!
Grab that lukewarm coffee and let’s get to it.
